Safety Tips For Inflatable Bounce House Rentals

Inflatable rentals are a great addition to any child’s birthday party. They instantly grab the kids attention and provide them with hours of fitness fun. Parents love the fact their children are having a blast while getting great exercise and you’ll love the fact they are easy to set up and entertain without too much effort on your part. When you rent a bounce house for a party, you’ll need very little else to make the event memorable for your child.

To keep your party injury free, be sure to follow these basic inflatable rental safety tips if you rent a bounce house or other inflatable.

* Attendants Are Necessary: Don’t assume a bounce house can be set up and unmonitored. To keep all bouncers safe, it’s important to appoint an adult or responsible teen as the outside monitor. They should keep a watchful eye on the bouncers and be sure to stop any unsafe behavior before an injury occurs.

* Same Age Bouncers: When you choose to mix age groups in a bounce house, you’re throwing small kids into a bouncer with larger kids. This is the recipe for injury! Small kids can quickly become injured by larger kids in a bounce house. Thus, if you have various age groups present at your child’s party it’s best to break them up into groups by size and let them bounce with those their size. You can set a time limit and switch groups several times throughout the party so everyone can have a great time while staying safe.

* Stick To The Person Limit: Each of the inflatable rentals will have a marked person limit on it and it’s important you stick to this limit. If you allow too many children to bounce at the same time and the unit becomes overcrowded, serious injury could occur. Remember to divide kids into groups if there are too many at the party to jump at one time.

* Tired Children Should Sit Out: The natural thing for tired children to do in a bounce house is find a corner to sit down in. However, this can be very dangerous because they can easily be pounced upon by another bouncing child. So, be sure to give the children a break when they get tired and require them to sit out, inside of sitting “in”.

* Get Your First Aid Kit In Gear: Inflatable rentals can lead to injuries but the good news is they are almost always very minor. Some children might accidentally scratch another while bouncing or someone might get a bruise from accidentally running into another child. Having a first aid kit handy can make the process of addressing these minor injuries much easier. So, be sure to get it stocked and ready just in case the need to use it does arise.
