Phoenix City Parks with Reservable Picnic Facilities

Parks are lovely settings for company picnics. When planning an event in advance, especially for a large group, it is important to reserve a picnic area to make sure there is a space available. Phoenix’s parks offer very affordable event space- in fact some of the picnic facilities even be reserved for free!

Encanto Park

Encanto Park has two reservable uncovered picnic areas. Each picnic area has six tables and a grill and accommodates up to 50 people. Both picnic areas can be reserved for larger events with up to 300 people. Other features of the 222 acre park include an exercise course, golf courses, raquetball, volleyball, and tennis courts, softball and baseball fields, a swimming pool, a lagoon, and Enchanted Island Amusement Park.

Margaret T. Hance Park

Margaret T. Hance Park has two reservable ramadas that each accommodate events with up to 75 people. Other features of the park include a sand volleyball court, the Japanese Friendship Garden of Phoenix, and the Irish Cultural Center.

North Mountain Park

North Mountain Park has three reservable Ramadas. The Havasupai Ramada has eight tables and ten grills and accommodates up to 150 people. The Ramada at Pima 1 and 2 has six tables and two grills and accommodate up to 50 people. The Yavapai Ramada has twelve tables and six grills and accommodates up to 100 people. The park has several additional Ramadas available on a first come first served basis. The Piute Ramada has ten tables and a grill and accommodates up to 100 people. The Ute Ramada has eleven tables and two grills and accommodates up to 90 people. The Cocopah Ramada has seven tables and seven grills and accommodates up to 70 people. The Ramadas at Pima 3 and 4 have five tables and five grills and accommodate up to 50 people. The Tewa Ramada has six tables and six grills and accommodates up to 40 people. The Maricopa Ramada has three tables and two grills and accommodates up to 20 people. The Quechan Ramada has two tables and a grill and accommodates up to 20 people. The Kaibab Ramada accommodates up to 20 people. The Ak-chin Ramada and the Gila Ramada each have two tables and a Grill and accommodates up to 10 people. Other features of North Mountain Park include hiking and riding trails and a playground.

Papago Park

Papago Park has four reservable Ramadas. Ramadas #9 and #10 accommodate up to 250 people and feature a stage with a grass seating area and horseshoe pits. Ramada #2 has four 18’ long tables and three grills. Ramada #16 features four 21’ tables and three grills and accommodates up to 80 people. Additionally Papago Park has four Ramadas available on a first come first served basis. Ramada #14 has two 21’ tables and two grills and accommodates up to 40 people. Ramadas #12 and #13 each have one 21’ table and a grill, and accommodate up to 20 people. Ramada #11 has two tables and a grill, and accommodates up to 16 people. Other features of Papago Park include volleyball courts, softball fields, an archery range, and trails.

South Mountain Park

South Mountain Park has two reservable Ramadas. The Big Ramada has eight tables, seven grills, and a dance platform and accommodates up to 150 people. The Little Ramada has four tables, four grills, and a dance platform and accommodates up to 80 people. The park’s Activity Complex also offers event space. The park has ten additional Ramadas available on a first come first served basis. Ramadas #1 through #10 all have tables and grills and have maximum capacities ranging from 30 to 60 people. Other features of the 16,000 acre park include seven miles of paved road and trails for hiking, horseback riding, biking, and climbing.
