Organizing a Summer Carnival
Have you been placed in charge of organizing a summer carnival for your church, school or business?
If so, there are actually effortless ways to plan an incredible summer carnival with games, food and awards to be won!
There are a few basic games you could plan, with many of them using stuff you possibly have in your home and others involving items which can be leased without paying a fortune.
Inflatable bounce houses are invariably inviting for kids of all ages and may be leased at your community party supply outlet. The vast majority of inflatable companies will set your rental up, manage it throughout your event and then break it down again, all for the sole rental fee.
Many party companies will have a range of inflatable structures that can increase the excitement of your summer carnival. If you’d like more inflatables to enjoy throughout your event, you can also rent water slides, obstacle courses or inflatable activities.
If your weather is incredibly warm, you may want to plan a water game or two. Instead of the standard egg toss, consider a wet sponge target activity. Recruit a grown-up to be the game’s intended target, with a trash can lid in hand.
Little ones can be equipped with wet sponges and can then attempt to wet down the target. Hitting the shield will not count and the winner can be given a prize. Just be certain if you do offer this type of game, you warn parents in advance to allow them to prepare by bringing their kids swimwear, towels or extra clothing.
You can also make a basic coin drop for your carnival, with a size-able glass container. A classic aquarium tank is best but if you don’t have one, any big see-through container is fine. Fill it up with water and place one or two clear glasses in the bottom. The idea is to drop a coin into the tank and then try to get it into the glass in the bottom. If someone can complete it effectively, they’ll win a small prize.
Prizes don’t have to be anything sophisticated or high priced and many are available at party stores or at dollar stores. Try not to hand out candy as awards, as in the warm weather it could create a mess.
Little prizes, befitting for the age group attending the party, would work completely, as the fun in it revolves around the act of winning. It’s a good idea to get prizes of bubbles or water guns, given that they can be used by the kids for additional fun at the event.
Avoid getting stressed from organizing your summer carnival! Keep in mind, with a few basic steps, it can be a simple task! All that’s necessary to do is rent an inflatable or two, plan several games, coordinate food and pick up some small prizes.
